Tree of Life Yoga classes youll learn a sequence of yoga postures
that supports optimal health and fitness. This movement practice, called
asana, is an effective way to increase flexibility, balance and strength.
A gentle form of weight bearing exercise, yoga is appropriate for any age
or fitness level. Yoga not only optimizes the functioning of the musculoskeletal system, but also helps to balance the endocrine, respiratory, circulatory and nervous systems. While practicing the yoga postures students are encouraged to notice the connection between body and mind and to deepen their trust in the bodys inherent wisdom. |
As
students are guided into a state of deep relaxation, mental tension and
worries begin to melt away. Using breathing techniques and body awareness
you will learn how to "be here now." This practice, called witness
consciousness or mindfulness, can be used not only on the yoga mat but also
in your daily life. Compassionate self-awareness is a cornerstone of Tree of Life Yoga. An essential part of the practice is to be with what is without judgment or attachment. Practicing yoga can be an opportunity to recognize and let go of limiting behavior and negative self-talk. Students often experience enhanced mental clarity and focus, as well as a reduction in overall stress, as a result of their yoga practice. |
Tree
of Life Yoga classes will bring you into an experience of the inner art
of yoga. Focusing on inner awareness, the "still small voice within"
is accessed through breathing, relaxation, postures, chanting and meditation.
An essential aspect of Tree of Life Yoga classes is the opportunity to deepen your spiritual practice. Realizing the Self, or ones True Nature, is the ultimate goal of yoga. |
